In a significant development for regional sports, H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah, President of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC), and H.E. Luciano Rossi, President of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), met with H.E. Yerbol Myrzabosynov, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, during the 16th Asian Shooting Championship 2025.
During the meeting, ASC President outlined plans to establish a Shooting Sport Center in Kazakhstan in collaboration with the Kazakhstan Shooting Sport Federation. The center will serve the Central Asian region, providing enhanced training opportunities and supporting the development of Athletes across central Asian countries.
Also The Minister thanked ASC and ISSF for their visit to Astana and the meeting. He highlighted the Kazakhstan government’s continued investment in youth and sports and affirmed his full support for the Olympic movement in Kazakhstan.
Both ASC and ISSF president’s highlighted Kazakhstan’s great potential in shooting sports, expressing excitement about the sport’s growth in the region. They affirmed that this partnership would create enhanced opportunities for athletes.
The meeting concluded with all parties aligned on a shared vision for the sport’s future.
